ONE :: Happy Birthday cake for my friend Erin! XO!
TWO :: The spa I go to has these amazing blankets that are so plush and soft. You can buy them…for $140+ each. I think I’ll just cozy up in one while I’m there, thanks.
THREE :: Treated myself to a 90 minute massage at Calvert Rejuvenations. Probably one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Pure relaxation.
FOUR :: Did a little post massage shopping at Reston Town Center. Found this adorable navy and coral clutch at Francesca’s.
FIVE :: Sweet Frog fro-yo for lunch after church, yes please!
SIX :: Made this delicious fruit salsa with homemade cinnamon-sugar crisps for our small group study.
Happy Friday, Lovelies! I’ve missed y’all. I know I’ve been M.I.A. a lot the past week or so. Things are INSANE at work and in the evenings. I’m super happy it’s Friday and I’m excited to link up (again…finally) with Lauren @ From My Grey Desk for High Five for Friday. Here are my top five faves from this week.
ONE :: Earlier this week, my co-worker surprised me with this AWESEOME gift that his wife won at a silent auction. It’s a Chris Cooley handmade & autographed mug. HAIL! Don’t know Chris Cooley, well he’s a tight end for the Washington Redskins, and my favorite offensive player. Cooley owns The Chris Cooley Gallery in downtown Leesburg, VA. Pretty cool(ey). HA! Sure made my day!
TWO :: I had a pretty great week at my 9-2-5 (nine to five job)! I can’t give away a lot of details (sorry work peeps who read my blog), but I’m pretty psyched about it.
THREE :: I ate very well this week. You see my boss and some other co-workers were in town this week, and that meant lunches, dinners and drinks out all week. Each meal though I made a healthy choice and omitted some of the unhealthy items. I felt satisfied after each meal and never felt stuffed. I also tracked all of my points (I’m a Weight Watchers lifetime member) and am excited to step on the scale tomorrow morning to see how successful I was.
FOUR :: This morning I attempted a top knot bun. Might need a little fine tuning, but not bad, right?
FIVE :: Spa day(s)! I’m headed to the acupuncturist today, which is almost as relaxing as the spa. Fingers crossed he can help knock out these headaches I’ve had all week. Then tomorrow I’ve booked myself a 90 minute massage. CAN. NOT. WAIT.

Let me preface this with I had a very relaxing and quiet weekend. It was perfect and very needed. Sorry there aren’t many pics, but I really didn’t do much.
ONE :: Pan-Grilled Halibut with Chimichurri, Charred Vegetables with Rice and Chardonney. Great kick-off to a relaxing weekend!
TWO :: I traveled about 40 minutes west to Bluemont Vineyards to meet with a lovely couple. We will be coordinating their 30th wedding anniversary party in October at this vineyard. This is the view when I stepped out of my car. On a clear day they say you can see all the way into DC. Hands down this vineyard has some of the best views in Loudoun County.
THREE :: I bought these adorable jammy pants at the Old Navy outlet. Being almost six feet tall, they aren’t quite pants as much as they are high-waters. So I whipped out the sewing machine and gave them a quick hem. Now they’re capris…perfecto!
ONE :: Went with all the other crazy women to see Magic Mike on Friday. This was the line that had formed 45 minutes before the show started. It was crazy! The movie was as I had expected, not great in terms of the plot but some pretty great eye candy.
TWO :: While wandering around Home Depot waiting for J, I came across these gorgeous orchids. The colors are so vibrant and pretty. Love!
THREE :: My good friend’s son graduated from high school so we gave him a little cash. You know, in case of an emergency.
FOUR :: J & I decided to give phase 1 of the Digest Diet a try. We’ve both been feeling a little sluggish from having made not so great choices these past few weeks. My friend has seen some great results so far, so we figured it’s worth a shot. These are the ingredients for the shake we made for breakfast. I’m not a smoothie person, I just don’t like the creamy consistency. I forced down a chocolate, banana & peanut butter shake. J, like a pro gulped it down and moved on. He’s not a baby like I am..
FIVE :: We had terrible storms blow through the area on Friday, knocking out power all over the place. Including the tile shop, but luckily they were still open. The crazy home remodelers that we are we went to look at tile in the dark. And found the perfect wall and tub tile to compliment our floor tile. The pics are great, but the story is funny!
SIX :: Snack! Green peppers with a mixture of fat-free cream cheese, chives and chopped tomato. Pretty tasty.
SEVEN :: Hearty Mexican Soup. I know it seems insane to eat soup on a 100+ degree day. But it’s part of phase 1 of this Digest Diet. The soup is actually pretty tasty and filling. I’d make it again
